Our team of real estate development professionals have expertise in finance, asset management and hospitality as well as project management, design, construction and marketing. The team’s wide experience imparts a distinctive international flavour to our work. In addition, we have a global network of partners and affiliates to ensure that we bring together the right combination of resources, skills and talent for each project.

Vinay Kapoor and his colleagues on the executive team earned their reputations on prestigious projects across the world. Vinay was involved at the highest level in some of the most iconic developments of recent decades. Camille Douglas brings more than three decades of real estate experience in financial transactions while David Dean and Anoop Malik are the specialists in resort and hospitality developments. George Alexander, Vivek Soin and Rakesh Sharma have strengths in marketing and finance. The executive team is completed by Neil Kapoor who heads our business development programme.

Board Members

Vinay Kapoor: President and CEO
Prior to setting up Westcourt, Vinay worked for Olympia & York where he was responsible for the design and development of the World Financial Center in New York and Canary Wharf in London. He also led the development of Torre Mayor in Mexico City, the tallest building in Latin America, for Reichmann International. Harvard-educated, Vinay's wide experience in the financing of large-scale development included a spell as CEO of IPC, a cross-border real estate investment trust (REIT).

Camille Douglas: Principal
Camille is a senior figure in the global real estate industry. Her experience embraces acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, debt & equity financings and partnerships & restructurings; it includes pioneering work in areas such as commercial mortgage-backed securities and private equity investment. Camille was a principal of Mainstreet Capital Partners and her career includes 12 years as senior vice president at Olympia & York. She is as an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and a visiting lecturer at Harvard.

David Dean: Hospitality
David has extensive luxury hospitality experience in hotels and resorts leading to senior management positions in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Westin Hotels and Resorts, Forte Hotels and a major American resort development company. David was co-developer of The Manor, the award-winning boutique hotel in Delhi. He was the founder of Braemar Golf Developments, based at St Andrews in Scotland, a leading golf advisory and management company, exiting in 2012 to concentrate on his other business interests. besides his business interests, he has been a member of the Heathrow Airport Consultative Committee for a number of years and is a member of the Advisory Board of WATG, the hotel and resort architects and planners.

 

Executive Team

David Margason: European Operations
David has over 20 years experience in land acquisition, the negotiation, formation and management of private and public/private joint ventures and the conceptualization and delivery of large scale, high quality developments across all use classes in London, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. A Chartered Surveyor and Master of Engineering, David has run development companies and departments undertaking developments within large, listed entities including the Rank Organization, Lend Lease Corporation and Majid Al Futtaim Group and also through SPVs deploying third party capital from private Middle Eastern and European investors. In addition to several land assembly and mixed-use, masterplanning projects in the Middle east and North Africa, previous developments which David has led or had significant roles in include the Westfield London retail scheme, More London office scheme which includes the headquarters of the Greater London Authority and the Mayor of London, the Centerparcs forest resort in the Lake District, the redevelopment of the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington and the Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane in London and a 40 hectare land reclamation and mixed-use waterfront development in the Channel Islands.

Anoop Malik: Hospitality
Graduating from Ecoles Les Roches in Switzerland, Anoop has spent over 30 years across the globe in hospitality operations spanning the US, Europe, South America, Caribbean, Australia and India. From hotel development to hotel openings, turning around assets under financial stress to rebranding. He has been involved with properties across the spectrum of remote locations, developing economies and city centric hotels.

Vivek Soin: Finance
With 16 years of experience working for leading international finance and real estate groups, Vivek has a strong background in business analysis, project appraisal and financial planning. He was part of the start-up team at Westcourt and currently advises on the financial structuring of our projects, including management of the often complex process of project debt and equity fundraising, and evaluating new opportunities. Vivek is also responsible for implementing effective financial reporting and control systems.

Neil Kapoor: Business Development
Neil oversaw the start-up of Westcourt’s Indian operations. Today he focuses on working with our partners on new opportunities and pursuing our key strategic initiatives. Since 2005 Neil has overseen nearly 2000cr of transactions in India including CityView and WestOne. His expertise includes financial structuring to achieve optimal value realization from projects.

Rakesh Sharma: Financial Administration
Rakesh has nearly 30 years experience in finance. He was Chief Financial Officer at TCG Developments, the Indian real estate company where he gained valuable expertise in the financial management of large-scale mixed-use developments.

George Alexander: Marketing, Sales and Public Relations
George has over 20 years of experience in India and the Middle East. His CV includes 11 years in the real estate industry handling assignments in Bangalore, where he was responsible for the successful marketing of ITPL (International Tech Park Ltd), and in Dubai, where he worked on a large luxury residential and resort project.
